CAS number: 63148-56-1
Fuorosilicone rubber is a long-lasting stable elastomer with a good compression set resistance. It usually contains 23 to 28 per cent fluorine and can withstand liquids like oils and fuels, essentially combining the inherently good resistance to swelling of Fluorocarbon Rubber (FPM) with the low-temperature flexibility of VMQ.
Properties:
Application:
Apart from the automotive and aerospace industries, Fluorosilicone rubber is increasingly being used in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, where its inherent tolerance to bacterial growth, ease of sterilization and suitability for contact with the body makes it a safe material. It performs reliably for applications like medical tubing, exhaust gas diaphragm, automotive seals and engine gaskets, air pump valves, electrical connector inserts, turbocharger hoses, O rings, fuel line seals and leak detection seals and diaphragms.
