Rubber Cutlass Bearings

This is an elementary journal bearing, used in a shaft housing to provide structural support to the machine. Made from abrasive particles, they do result in minimal wearing of the shaft as they do not embed into the bearing surface.

Applications

Cutlass bearings have a wide spectrum of marine applications and are also used in the pump and power plant industries. We supply them for vertical pumps, propeller shafts and rudder shafts in a variety of diameters. They are available in metal and non-metal range, in cylindrical and flanged sleeve. The inner rubber lining is fluted or spiral; in a circular or polygonal profile which can be developed in distinct polymers.
